Hi there! Welcome to the blog! A bit about me. I am the youngest of 4 children and grew up in California. I am married to the love of my life and have 2 amazing boys. I love sushi and a cold diet Pepsi. The mountain air makes me happy. Blue is my favorite color. I cannot go more than a day without talking to my sister on the phone. I know that laughter heals. I do not own a pair of skinny jeans. I am easygoing, flexible, and love to be silly. I truly believe I have the best job on earth!

5 Fun Facts – 3.31.11

WOW…been a busy week! Trying to do some catching up, so here are my 5 Fun Facts for the week…

1. My parents took us dog sledding for 2 weeks in Alaska when I was 8 years old. It was one of the most memorable trips I have ever been on. Definitely something worth trying if you ever get the opportunity!

2. I lost my flip-flop on a family trip to the south when I was 10. We were on the USS Alabama and I accidentally flung it over the side…oops! We couldn’t fish it out because of the alligators in the water, so I was short one flip-flop the rest of the trip.

3. If I had to choose one international destination to visit, it would be Italy. I have always wanted to go and I hope I can do it one day!

4. My brother lives in Brooklyn NY and he and his wife are expecting a little girl any day! They already have 2 older boys, one of which is 1 day older than Will. It will be the 12th grandchild in the family and I cannot wait to meet her!

5. I dislike HOT weather. 70 and sunny is my perfect day. That being said…I am over the rain :( . Hoping spring pops up soon!

5 Fun Facts – 3.22.11

Some fun facts for my birthday week!

1. My son Will is named after my maternal grandmother. Her name was Billy and she was an amazing woman!

2. Our son Matt is not named after anyone, but I love the John Denver song Matthew and like to think he was named after that :) .

3. My favorite hamburger is from Nation’s in the Bay Area…I crave it!

4. All my siblings names begin with the letter K…Kim, Kevin, and Kristin… and of course me, Kati! Not something my parents planned until I was born and my sister Kim said I had to have a K name.

5. My favorite toy growing up was Teddy Ruckspin! I used to take him everywhere and I would love to get one for my boys!

5 Fun Facts – 3.14.11

Hope you all had a fantastic weekend. Did you celebrate St.Patty’s Day early? Did you go on any fun outings with your family?

Here are your fun facts for the week…St. Partrick’s Day Themed since it is one of my favorite holidays!

1. I am very superstitious!! I knock on wood, I throw salt over my shoulder, etc.

2. My family is part Irish and proud of it!

3. I LOVE corned beef and cabbage and love to celebrate with friends on St. Patty’s day!

4. 24 is a lucky number in my family. My birthday is March 24th, we got engaged on December 24th, we got married on June 24th, I found out I was pregnant with Matt on September 24th, and Matt was born May 24th.

5. I love 4 leaf clovers…I really do believe they are lucky!

5 Fun Facts – 3.8.2011

Hope you all are enjoying your week!

1. St. Patty’s Day is right up there with my favorite holidays! Not sure why, but I absolutely LOVE it! It was always a big deal growing up and my Dad loves it as well. Maybe it has something to do with that.

2. Birthday’s are a BIG deal to me. Not just my own, but other people’s as well. Everyone in my family makes a point to at least call each other on our birthdays. Bob thinks it is slightly odd, but it really means a lot to me.

3. Spring is my favorite season. It is just full of optimism and excitement!

4. If I could travel to one place outside the US that I haven’t been before, it would be Italy. I think it just seems so romantic and historic and beautiful. Not to mention great food!

5. I am a total history nut! I love reading about historical events, visiting historical sites, and watching anything history related on TV. Yep…it looks like I am much more like my father than I thought :) .
